Qualifications
NVQs have been designed so that any person can gain a national
qualification at any time in their life, NVQs cover a wide range of subjects
and are graded into five levels.
Employers are legally required to ensure the health, safety and
welfare of their employees and other people who might be affected by their
undertaking. Every employer must appoint one or more competent persons to
assist him in undertaking the measures he needs to take to comply with the
requirements and prohibitions imposed upon him by or under the relevant
statutory provisions.

The Chartered Institute of Environmental
Health
The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health courses are
designed to give students understanding of the principles of health and safety,
risk assessment and food hygiene in the workplace.

Accident Investigation and the Reporting of Injuries,
Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences at Work Regulations
To give the student a working knowledge of the management of
accidents and incidents, reporting system and a working knowledge of the RIDDOR
Regulations.
Fire Marshal and Fire Controller Courses
To give students an understanding of the role and
responsibilities of a fire marshal in the workplace and to give Managers and
Premises Managers an understanding of their role and legal responsibilities as
regards fire legislation in the workplace.
Manual Handling Courses
To give the student a working knowledge of the Manual Handling
Regulations, a basic understanding of body movements connected with manual
handling and an understanding of the principles of manual handling and teaching
methods.
Display Screen Equipment Courses
To give the student an understanding of the Display Screen
Regulations and how to operate a workstation correctly.
